Founded in 1961, Nolan River Kennel Club (NRKC) is an AKC member club dedicated to the promotion of the interests and welfare of purebred dogs. NRKC holds community events and supports various dog interests.

General membership meetings are held at 8:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Burleson Chamber of Commerce, 1044 SW Wilshire, Burleson, Texas. Please check for special meeting times for the July Picnic and December Christmas meetings. We hope you will join us for our 41st show, January 7-8, 2012 in Glen Rose, Texas.

NRKC members represent people from all walks of life, whose canine hobbies range from handling their own home-bred champions to testing their dogs' instincts in field trials to obedience competitions.

Nolan River Kennel Club holds two shows a year, both on the same weekend in January. Besides Conformation, the shows offer Junior Showmanship, Obedience and Rally, as well as special events such as Herding Tests, CGC tests, fun matches and Lure Coursing.

As a local organization dedicated to promoting the love of dogs in the community, we invite the public to stop by the show and find out what dog shows are all about.
